Medical Physicist - Permanent, Full Time - Auckland, New Zealand

We are seeking a radiation oncology medical physicist to join a supportive, friendly andenthusiastic team at ARO. This is an ideal opportunity for a recently-qualified physicist to develop their career in a centre using some of the most advanced treatments available.

Auckland Radiation Oncology (ARO) is a private radiation therapy department in Auckland, New Zealand and is jointly owned by MercyAscot and Southern Cross Hospitals. ARO utilises some of the latest equipment in modern radiotherapy provision consisting of three Elekta linear accelerators (two with Agility BLD) with 4DCBCT and intra-fractional imaging, Philips Brilliance big bore CT scanner, RayStation TPS, Mosaiq R&V and access to various imaging techniques including PET and MRI. We offer a variety of contemporary treatment techniques including IMRT, VMAT, HIGHT and SRT and use a number of novel tools (e.g. deformable image registration and adaptive techniques). We are currently in the process of commissioning the latest version of the RayStation TPS and a new EPID dosimetry system.

Joining an existing team of four physicists, you will actively contribute to all aspects of radiation physics support including quality assurance, dosimetry, commissioning, advising on treatment planning techniques, contributing to development projects and research activities. The candidate should possess an MSc in Medical Physics and be recently certified with the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), or the equivalent in your home country. You should possess all-round radiation physics experience and the desire to improve patient care and enhance the quality of treatments. Salary and benefits will be commensurate to the candidate’s experience.
