Our technology

  • As the only CyberKnife centre in NZ (https://aucklandradiationoncol...), ARO offers extraordinarily accurate robotic stereotactic radiation treatment for prostate, brain, spine, liver, selected lymph nodes, and pancreatic cancers, enabling it to treat the cancer with sub-millimetre accuracy, minimising damage to the surrounding area, helping deliver better patient outcomes.
  • Two Elekta Versa HD Linacs (soon to be equipped with Elekta’s Iris™ high-definition, AI-enhanced imaging technology, offering incredibly detailed visualisation of tumours), support precise and effective conventional and stereotactic treatments for a wide range of cancer.s
  • Supported by RayStation treatment planning technology, our teams utilise advanced technology to plan highly personalised treatments and complex re-treatments, remaining at the forefront of the field and delivering precise, quality plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Our Canon Acquilion CT scanner is equipped with the latest in AI-based imaging capabilities and specialised features enabling highly quality patient images tailored to individual needs.
  • Brainlab Exac Trac Dynamic Surface technology enables x-ray and surface guided radiation therapy to further enhance treatment accuracy and precision delivered by our Versa-HD machines.

From mid-2025, we’ll have a second state of the art facility located on the North Shore, providing treatment closer to home for a large number of our patients. The North Shore boasts its own set of beautiful beaches, with views of the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto Island, and is the gateway to the stunning Northland region.

For families, Auckland is an excellent place to relocate with a well-developed education system, with some of the best schools and universities in the country and a diverse range of primary and secondary schools, including public, private, and international schools.
