This week marked an important moment for the construction of ARO’s new treatment centre for the North Shore. Following a blessing by Kaumātua, Eruera Morgan, the first shovel broke the ground in a soil turning ceremony attended by Joseph Stafford, Andrew Wong, the ARO leadership team, directors and key partners involved in the construction programme.

CyberKnife – ARO's newest treatment machine has officially turned one year old!. 12 months have passed since ARO treated thier first brain cancer patient with CyberKnife, setting the stage for a remarkable journey in the field of cancer treatment.

Study finds that after five years, 96% of the men who received five doses of the multi-beam radiotherapy were cancer-free, compared to 95% who received at least 20 doses of standard radiotherapy.
