New Information for Prostate Cancer Patients
Fri June 14th 2024
Feedback from patients treated for prostate cancer with New Zealand's only CyberKnife robotic therapy has been very positive.
CyberKnife is extraordinarily accurate, enabling it to treat prostate cancer, while minimising damage to the surrounding area, helping deliver better patient outcomes. Instead of up to 20 rounds of radiation over four weeks for prostate cancer, with the CyberKnife patients will likely only need five highly targeted 30 minute treatment sessions.
Since ARO started offering the CyberKnife high-precision radiation oncology system in September 2023 they have received many inquiries and questions. This, together with the positive patient feedback has prompted ARO to create a dedicated area on their website to provide information and explain how CyberKnife helps prostate cancer patients get back to a normal life sooner.
Talk to your Urologist, GP or Radiation Oncologist about whether CyberKnife robotic radiotherapy is the right treatment for you. Learn more about CyberKnife and prostate cancer.
