Second ARO Radiation Therapy Centre Opening in August on the North Shore

Auckland Radiation Oncology’s second state-of-the-art centre opens on the North Shore in August 2025, bringing world-class radiation therapy closer to where patients live. Located on Antares Place in Rosedale, Auckland, just down the hill from the Millennium Sports Institute, the new facility is designed to expand access to world-class cancer care for patients living on the North Shore, West Auckland, Northland, and surrounding regions.
The centre will offer ample free and covered parking onsite, making it easily accessible and convenient for patients and their whānau.
This purpose-built facility will feature the very latest in radiation therapy technology, including the Elekta Evo linear accelerator and the ground-breaking Iris™ high-definition imaging system. Iris™ leverages AI-enhanced imaging to provide clinicians with exceptionally detailed views of tumours, supporting greater precision and enabling more effective, personalised treatments.
With a focus on delivering an exceptional patient experience, the new centre represents a major investment in both cutting-edge technology and patient wellbeing. The expansion reflects Auckland Radiation Oncology’s commitment to bringing advanced, compassionate care closer to where patients live.
For many patients, access to daily treatment closer to home and work will ease the burden of traffic and everyday demands.. First patient visits start from Thursday 14 August. More updates will follow as we approach the opening date including communication to healthcare professionals on referring patients for treatment at this new facility
