Potential side effects play a big part when choosing a treatment for prostate cancer
Thu April 24th 2025
Side effects are among the biggest worries for patients receiving cancer treatment, which is not surprising, as they can be difficult to manage during treatment and can continue long after it ends.
For men receiving treatment for prostate cancer, urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction are two of the most common fears.
The PACE-A study compared men with early-stage, localised prostate cancer and found those treated with CyberKnife reported fewer of these side effects compared to those who underwent surgical removal of the prostate.
