Dr Han Kim
Dr Han Kim is a highly regarded physician based in Wellington who completed his radiation oncology training at Auckland City Hospital and pursued his fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, expanding his knowledge and experience in palliative radiation and oligometastatic radiotherapy. He won a scholarship for Canadian Winter School on Quality and Safety in Radiation Oncology during his fellowship in 2016.
He is an established radiation physician with experience in SABR/SBRT and specialises in genitourinary (prostate), breast, head and neck, and skin cancers. He is an expert in managing complex palliative scenarios. He also treats patients with benign conditions such as Dupuytren’s contracture and keloids.
Dr Kim currently works as a senior clinical lecturer for Otago Medical School, and served his time as a director of trainee for Wellington oncology trainees. He continues to chair the Head and Neck Cancer multidisciplinary meeting in Capital Coast, Te Whatu Ora.
He offers either in person or virtual consultations. He is well known for his clear and prompt communication with patients and his colleagues. He is fluent in both English and Korean, and will available in both Epsom and soon to be established North Shore clinics to meet his patients.
