Dr Komeela Naidoo
Radiation Oncologist
Dr Komeela Naidoo is a radiation oncologist at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. She completed her specialist training at the University of Cape Town and Walter Sisulu University in 2014, before relocating to New Zealand in 2022.
Dr Naidoo’s clinical practice focuses on the treatment of head and neck cancers, skin cancers, and upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers, as well as gynaecological cancers. She has a particular interest in stereotactic radiation techniques for oligometastatic cancers, especially liver metastases.
An active participant in clinical research, Dr Naidoo has served as a principal and co-investigator on numerous clinical trials and has co-authored several publications in the field of radiotherapy. She earned a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology in 2018.
Dr Naidoo is a member of the Waikato Regional Head and Neck and Pelvic Radiotherapy Advisory Groups, as well as the Gynaecology Brachytherapy Advisory Group.
She consults at Waikato Hospital and Auckland Radiation Oncology
(ARO), with her private clinic located at SalutisCare on Thackeray Street,
Hamilton. Radiation oncology treatments are provided at ARO in Auckland.
