Dr Lukasz Klobukowski

Radiation Oncologist

Dr Lukasz Klobukowski is a trained Radiation Oncologist with clinical oncology experience who works at Auckland City Hospital and provides consultation and treatment services at ARO with focus on brain, gastrointestinal, and skin cancer.

After completing BSc in Computer Science, he went onto study Medicine at University of Otago graduating in 2005. While working in NZ and Australia he completed at Otago University a post graduate diploma in Ophthalmology.

Lukasz then trained in Radiation Oncology at Auckland Regional Cancer Centre before becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2017.

He undertook a three and a half year fellowship in clinical oncology at the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital in London UK, with a short tenure at Institute of Cancer Research. There he was able to work closely with experienced staff in managing patients with tumours from different sites in particular neuro-oncology, head and neck, gastrointestinal amongst others, and frequently under clinical trials. He was able to utilise latest systemic therapy as well as advanced radiotherapy techniques including stereotactic radiosurgery, Cyberknife treatment of brain tumours and metastases, MR Linac, and unsealed source therapy.

Lukasz's interests include central nervous system including benign lesions, primary brain tumours, or metastatic cancer to brain; as well as tumours arising from head and neck, skin including melanoma, gastrointestinal tract and oligometastatic disease.
