Dr Vikash Patel
Radiation Oncologist
Dr Vikash Patel grew up in Auckland where he completed his medical school training. He underwent specialist training in radiation oncology in Auckland and Christchurch. He subsequently took up a position as a consultant radiation oncologist at Auckland City Hospital in 2021 where he treats patients with genitourinary, breast and skin cancers. In addition to doing offsite clinics in Whangarei he has enrolled patients in clinical trials looking at escalated hormonal therapy such as DASL-HiCAP and stereotactic radiotherapy (SABR) to the prostate such as PACE-B. He has experience using stereotactic radiotherapy in the management of oligometastatic disease to various sites and as primary treatment in prostate cancer.
